Isabelle's dancing skills

I know I have posted a different video of Isabelle dancing but this one is a really good video. This was the day we had her birthday party so she really was showing off for everyone who was at her party. She liked all the attention so she would do it more to get all the laughs from everyone. It was quite hilarious.

Horsie Ride

Isabelle got a really fun rocking horse from her aunt and uncle last Christmas and she has really been enjoying it. She has learnt how to make the horse make noise and how to sit on the horse and rock it. it is also one of the words she understand, when you say where is your horsie she will always look around the room and then point at it where ever it is.

Christmas outfit

We have had so many Christmas outfits for this year that we have been putting them on Isabelle since the last weekend in November I think. This little outfit came with a hat and we didn't think she would wear the hat because she isn't too fond of hats. But to our surprise she wore it at home during sunday school and half way through church before talking it off. We were so impressed. The video was mean to be a picture but the camera was on the wrong mode so I decided to post the video anyways. Sorry that is it sideways, you can't turn it.

bound and determined

One evening Isabelle came out of her room with one of her pajama shirts and then she sat on the living room floor and tried to put the shirt on to her foot for a good 5 minutes. She was quite determined that she was going to get it on and seems to not want to give up until she got it. It was quite amusing.

Walking and Talking

Isabelle has been doing really good with her walking lately. She tends to only walk at home and not when we are out at other people's house. It almost seems like the doesn't want to make a fool out of herself in front of others. LOL At home most of the time if she falls down she will get right back up and continue to walk where she was headed. She is also growing her vocabulary quite fast. I think she has 5 words now. Her first word was Yes then This. She would say this to everything like she was wanting to know what it was. she now also says Hi, Ball and Bye Bye. and is getting close to Hat, baby and belly.

Just so you know

just to let you all know there are 7 new videos that I posted today and I posted 3 videos yesterday. They are in no specific order and definately not most recent to oldest so yeah. I hope you enjoy getting the sneak peak on to our lives with Isabelle

using a fork

Her is Isabelle trying to use a fork. everytime she takes the food off the fork she will either give it to one of us to put more on or will throw it on the floor

Using a spoon

We are slowly trying to get Isabelle to use a spoon and feed herself. We haven't done alot of trying to inforce this but it is fun to see her try and do it on her own. I know it will come on her timing just like everything else.

Birthday Cake

Isabelle didn't seem too sure about the cake but she actually ate some this time. We had had a little party a month and a half before her birthday and she would not eat the cake and she gaged on the icing so this was a much better try at it.

God made you Special

Isabelle got a new book for her birthday called God made you special. The book even plays a song and has a mirror inside it. Isabelle seems to really like this book. She has always enjoyed mirrors and music so it was the perfect book for her

she loves books

Isabelle normally won't sit still for you if you want to read her a book but if she finds one on the floor, which there are many around, she will sit there and flip through the pages and might bring one to you ever so often and actually want you to read it to her. She is becoming quite the little carachter and is so much fun.

brush your teeth

We have been trying to get in to a routine with brushing Isabelle's teeth before bed time. She has done really good so far. She doesn't mind having the brush in her mouth. It is funny the that she puts her toothbrush under the faucet and wants to put water on it. I don't think she has seen us brush our teeth very often maybe on Sunday mornings before church. Oh well it is really cute. The other day she got in to her diaper bag and the one thing she had pulled out was her toothbrush and she was brushing away. I hope that that is a sign that teeth brushing won't been an issue in the future if we keep it up.

The other day I had Isabelle's booster chair out becuase I was watching another little kid and had given a snack to Isabelle in it. We just left it on the floor and for the last few days she has played with it more than she has played with her toys. She does like to try and stand in it but she has been listening really well when I tell her to sit on her bum. we moved it to the living room so that if she tips it and falls it is a little bit of a softer landing and she has done that a few times

fun in the tub

Isabelle has almost always liked the tub, there was a short time she didn't really. the other day she was crying while tim was getting ready to put her in the tub and once she was in she stopped crying. it was rather quite funny.

Dancing

we are not sure where she learned to dance like this but she often does it to the clip it clop of her rocking horse. it is pretty cute. I had been trying to quite awhile to get this on camera.

Isabelle and her first steps

Isabelle had taken a few steps a little bit before we got this video. of course she had to do it when we weren't really paying attention to her. she is stubborn and will not let us coax her, she just had to do it by herself.

Extra Special Package

We helped tim's parents pack up some of there house a few weekends ago. I was helping in the garden and tim was helping take boxes from the house to the garage. Isabelle woke up from her nap and we were both busy so this is where Tim put her. She enjoyed it for quite awhile before getting bored of it. I have to admit that she looked pretty cute in that box. I am so glad that we have such a content daughter and that she can have fun in a cardboard box.

Bath Time

Isabelle has now figured out how to get the person who is giving her a bath soaked. She has learned to splash very well. She doesn't care if she gets water in her face, which is good. She likes her bath as long as it is warm. We took her to try a friends pool yesterday and she hated it. I think the reason she didnt' like it was because the water was cold. the day after tim gave her a bath and he started it out cool and she screamed until he made it warm. oh well we will have to keep trying the pool. maybe it will be good enough once the sun has warmed it up a bit.

Isabelle's new doll

We were at Tim's parents house about a month ago and Grandma had a doll that blinked and showed it to Izzy and she went crazy for the doll. She was waving her arms like crazy and was squealing quite loudly. She was so excited to see this little doll. It was really cute and I am sad I didn't think to get my camera out and tape it. Grandma found a little doll at a garage sale a few weeks back so now Izzy has this little doll and she really likes this one too.

Isabelle so far likes other little kids, they don't have to be paying any attention to her the just need to be close enough for her to see them. In Sunday school other little kids could come and steal a toy away from her and she wouldn't care, she would just smile and laugh at the little kid. We had the little kids sing a few songs in Church awhile back and she was so excited she again squealed and waved her arms. I hope she stays this way, liking other kids, it's really cute so far.

Tired girl=lots of giggles

Yesterday Isabelle was so tried in the evening she was finding anything and everything funny. She was in her jolly jumper and Tim would put his head down and Izzy would just giggle. Not sure what she found so funny but we got some good giggles on camera so I didn't mind.
The last few days Isabelle has decided that she doesn't want to nap in the evening but she definatley still needs to, if she doesn't she is tried by 7 pm. I would put her to bed at 7 but then she wasn't to get up at 7 and I don't. we will see what happens. Today she was nice enough to actually nap this evening

My girl is now on the move!

On july 4th Isabelle started to move around other then rolling. She isn't doing the normal crawl yet but she is doing an army crawl where she puts her knees up under her tummy and pulls herself with her arms. It is fun and hopefully she will learn how to crawl soon. even though that means I will have to watch her way more carefully, but it will be fun.

Well my little girl in now seven months old. Wow have time flies. She now has two teeth, she can roll all the way across the room, she can sit on her own, she can stand holding on to something for a little bit and probably lots of other new things too. She is still a very content baby.
Well I am going to post some movies that contain some of these new things she can do.

Enjoy

My growing little girl

Isabelle is growing so fast and learning lots of new stuff. She is now eating solid foods, we started this on April 1st. She seems to like it so far. She has started drinking out of her sippy cup. She has been lazy lately and wants you to hold the cup up for her. We have taken her swimming twice now. She liked it better the second time. She likes to jump in her jolly jumper, the funny thing is she only likes to jump with one foot. The other day she decided she didn't want to jump and scrunched both of her legs up and just hung there. It was pretty funny. When she is sitting in her car seat she likes to hold her head up and not let it rest on the car seat. She is so much fun. I love this little girl so much it is crazy. She brightens up my day with her toothless grin all the time. I can't wait for the next step of fun things with her.

Isabelle Three Months Old

My Little Girl has grown so much, it's hard to believe that she has only been around for four months. It feels like a lot longer. She is still doing really well, very content and happy.

Tired ear rub

It seems when Isabelle gets tired she starts to rub her ear. It is kinda cute. The bad thing about it is she tends to get her fingers in her ear and then she gets cuts in her ear too.

copy cat

Quite awhile ago we taught Isabelle how to make this noise with her tounge and lips. She was doing really well and then we couldn't get her to do it for quite awhile. Now she is doing it again. It almost seems like she does it to show off.

One day Mark and Helen babysat Izzy for us and I guess Mark was doing that to her and she was copying him and Mark got all excited that she was copying him, much to his suprise he did not know that she already knew how to do that.

baby talk

Tim can get Isabelle going really good sometimes but it seems like he has to be upsidedown talking to her. I think she is going to grow up to be a big talker. LOL

Izzy's new thing

Isabelle's new thing is to hold on to anything and everything around her. she started this one day when she was on the change table. It was so cute.

Head and shoulders

This is one of Isabelle's favorite songs. Almost every time we do it she will have her mouth as wide open as she can. it is really cute.

Fun in the tub

Isabelle enjoys her baths. This time was funny to watch her suck her had through the middle of her little ring toy. She was also holding on to the back rest.

Laundry Time

There just happened to be a laundy basket in the living room so we propped Izzy up in it and Dad had the great idea that it would be fun to take her for a ride around the kitchen. I don't think she knew what to think, she might enjoy it more once she gets older.

feeding time

This video is kinda fun. Tim was trying to feed Isabelle a bottle and she wanted to be a big girl and feed herself. It wasn't very successful but was very cute.

Isabelle Laughing

Today Tim got Isabelle to laugh at him while they were playing peek-a-boo. It was really cute and the first time we caught it on camera.

Our Baby Girl

I have been really lazy and have not posted since Isabelle was born. Our little girl was born on October 26th at 8:56 pm, weighing in at 8 lbs 14 oz and 21 1/4 inches long. Everything went well but she had definite signs of being overdue ( I was 9 days over). I actually was scheduled to be induced at 5pm on the 26th. I am glad I didn't have to be induced and things went naturally with a little help from the doctor.
Since we have had her at home she has been a great baby. She rarely cries and if she does it normally means that she is either hungry or sleepy. She has been a really good sleeper and has been sleeping thru the night since she was a month old and before that she would maybe wake up twice in the night to eat. During the day she will put herself to sleep while she is in her play yard. She started to smile the day before she turned a month, she has been talking for quite awhile now and it seems like she is going to laugh soon. She likes looking at herself in the mirror and enjoys it when we read books to her. She just started to hold on to toys.
Isabelle just got her first set of shots last week and she did pretty good. She still has a click in her hip but we are double diapering her to help that go away. So far she is a really good traveler, we took our first trip with her at 3 weeks old. We went up to Niapwin for Alumni weekend and for her to meet uncle Matthew for the first time. She traveled really well. On the way home we were 15 minutes away from home and she had had enough. She cried for a bit but once we took her out of her car seat for a few minutes she was good. We have also now traveled out to Saskatoon for Christmas and she did good then too. While we were in Saskatoon for Christmas Isabelle got sick. She threw up 3 times, twice on some one. She had a stuffy nose but was good otherwise. You could tell she was sick because she wasn't herself, she was whinny and wanted to be held. Which was good because there were lots of people who wanted to hold her.

Anyways that is a little bit of an update on our family since we became a family of 3.
