So Christmas around here are pretty quiet. On Christmas Day we spent the morning together, just the two of us and in the evening we had Tim' parents over for supper. We figured out where a leak on our house was coming from, it was the dishwasher that was leaking and dripping all the way in to the basement and getting the drywall in the basement bathroom wet. So Tim went and ordered a new pipe for the dishwasher and then we will possibly fix the basement bathroom. At least we caught the problem before it got too bad but we are assuming that it has been leaking for quite a while and that the previous owners never noticed or just ignored it. Oh well.
On Boxing day it was quiet too ,we just spent the day at home only leaving to feed Lorissa's cats. The weather the night before made the roads really icy. We watched a few movies over the weekend and just took advantage of having a few days off where we had nothing planned.
On Sunday we went to Church in the morning and then over to Mark and Helen's for the afternoon and evening. Helen and I went skiing. It was fun, I have not skied in a few years, we had the perfect weather. Helen's cat and dog both decided to join us on our little adventure and on they way back we had to wait for the kitty to catch up to us. We also played a really old board game called Situation 4. In this game you have to build a puzzle. Both team have the puzzle piece for the whole puzzle but it is a race to finish it. It is a neat game for being made in the 1960's.
So yeah finally we had a quiet weekend alone all to ourselves. It was fun.
I hope everyone a had a great Christmas.

Suprise parties!
Since we have moved into our house we have been able to throw two suprise parties. One worked better then the other but they were both lots of fun. Back on October we threw my sister in law Helen a party. That day we were supposed to be hosting a wind up for Tim and the boys soccer team, but it ended up that only a few guys would have been able to show up
So we ended up telling Helen that it was still the Soccer wind up when it actually was a suprise party for her. We even parked Tim's parents vehicle in the garage so she wouldn't see it. I think she was suprised. So that was the very first suprise party I had ever thrown. It was lots of fun.

The next party was for my Brother in law JJ. This one didn't work out as well as they were the first people to show up. OH well we still had some decoration up and such. This time we were supposed to be having Bible study that night, so instead we invited out friends from Bible study over to help us celebrate his Birthday. We played some games on the Wii and the Girls had a game of Settler and the Boys also played some hockey on the Play station.

SCU and EMF Christmas Parties

He was really funny. Most of the time they use a wooden puppet but this guy used a tennis ball. He was very fun. The entertainer was recently on the show America's got talent, he was a semi-finalist on the show. He also has been on the Disney Cruise ship for a number of years. Sisters!!

( <-Thiessen Campout a few year ago)
Oh what I would have given to have a sister growing up. Now I have two great sister-in-laws. Oh how I LOVE these girls. They are the best sister's I could ever ask for.

(our christmas pictures 2009)

We have tons of fun together and get along great. I can't imagine having anyone else as a sister. We all got married in the same year which was cool because we get to go through the same stages of life together so to speak. These girls are so easy to talk to and mean the world to me.

A inspiring Christmas Present.
From my in-laws I got a sewing machine for Christmas. I love to sew. Now that I have a sewing
machine I have all these ideas running through my head of what I want to make. I just hope that I will actually make some of them and not be lazy. I am wanting to make some hot pads for the kitchen table, curtains for my basement window in the rec room and maybe I will get adventurous and make some nursing covers. I looked at one my cousin has and it looks like it would be very easy to make. I thought they could make nice gifts. I guess now I just need to make a trip in to the city to buy fabric and away I will go. We will see what happens from there.

Christmas Gathering #1
So we had our very first Christmas Gathering of the year on the weekend. It was with Tim's parents and siblings. Everyone but me went out on friday night, and I went out after work on saturday. We opened gifts on saturday afternoon. We got spoiled but are very thankful.
In the evening we tried to watch the movie UP as a family but we got about half way through and the movie would not play any more. And being a 40 Min drive away from where we rented the movie we just stopped.

Aren't we a good looking family. Now we have some great family pictures to display. Well we had a great start to our family gatherings with a few more to come.
Sunday morning we went to Church together and then after lunch we attempted to take some family pictures. It wasn't too cold out side but some people still complained. Oh well it was worth it. Here are the results...

Well it have been awhile and I wish I was someone who would have great things to post about or lots of people who would read this. We have been in our new house for a while now and I am loving it. Having our own house makes me feel really grown up. the one thing I don't like about owing your own house is if something breaks you can't just call the landlord and get them to fix it. I guess we need to read some home imporvement or fix it yourself kind of books. oh well we are young and maybe some day we will learn how to fix those things.
Well work has been crazy busy since we switched our computer system. I feel bad for both the members and my fellow co-workers. But there is nothing we can do we are all learing together and need to remember that work should be fun.
Christmas I coming so fast. Where has the year gone. I am working really hard on getting my Christmas letters and pictures out ASAP. We have our first Christmas gathering this weekend and we had the Annual Mother Daughter Christmas Tea last night and we finally got some snow last night. I love the Christmas Season It is such an great time to connect with family and just consider why we are celebrating anyways.

Let's try this out!
Hey ,
I have never blogged before but thought it might be fun. Lots of things in my life are changing right now. I just got a new job and My husband and I just bought a new house. I am hoping the next 2 months go by fast so we can move in. It is really exciting that I am finally getting out of the teenage stage (even thought I haven't been a teenager for a while now). I finally have a job that is more of a career then just a regular job. We will have our own house soon and just things that make me feel more like a grown up. This might now make sense to you but that is how I am feeling. We are doing things that we haven't done before so it is neat to be doing them together with my Husband. Well that is my little talk for now. I am looking forward to VBS starting at my Church tonight, which means it is going to be a busy week but tons of fun. I really want to see God move this week during or thru VBS.
